Termie Characters

Hey hey. I finished off two more models! The forge world terminator sorcerer and a terminator chaos lord. These guys have been in progress for so damn long! 

I love the sorcerer dude. Such an excellent model. 

I got the Lord in an ebay haul a while back (minus the hammer, that was my tweak), but I didn't realise until I came to paint it how shoddily it was put together. But I think that it turned out ok.

I also went hiking near Beddgelert and saw some cool rusty things...

I also got a load of those tt combat bases and made a start on assembling some for my new board...

Also Orktober approaches. Eeeeeeek!!

So that makes 19 models done in 2018. Rubbish!

Iron Warrior Termiators

Yup took one heck of a long time, but I recently finished up a batch of terminators...

This is my fave of the bunch 

I then decided to di out those 100% complete Iron Warriors and stick them on my shelf. Looking good I think!

So that make a total of 17 models complete in 2018. Not that great, but at least its something.

First Games of 8th

As I said in my previous blog entries, I'm currently full of motivation and inspiration for 40k (if limited by time). Now, to top off it all I've actually managed to get (my first) two whole games of 8th edition in. My Iron Warriors took on my mate Ste's Deathguard at 1500 points...

And then a few weeks later my Iron Warriors took on my mate Stes Deathguard at 1250 points...

So two games in and I think Blood for the Blood God is a crazy rule.

Do like 8th? Hell yes. everything just flowed better with less looking up of numbers in tables. Although saying that I did struggle to find the right pages in the codex all the time. Maybe they need a better layout? Maybe I need bookmarks?

The main thing is, it felt great actually playing a game and rolling dice and stuff. These were the first games since I moved house and stuff too. Happy days!

Squaduary 2018 Week 1

Hi all. I've been making some decent progress on my Squaduary pledge. I think I've got a good rythm with doing some of the raised detail bits, with the plan to then fill in the background that will be mostly silver and black. Consequently they don't really look very Iron Warrior-y as of yet.
